P-Shot® + “For Him”

PRP & Medispa is one of the Few Certified Practices in New Jersey for the P-Shot® since 2013.

The P-SHOT® is a procedure designed to deliver lasting improvements in sexual performance to men, especially those who have lost function due to an enlarged prostate, prostate cancer, the after-effects of surgery, drug side effects and other conditions such as diabetes.

The P-SHOT® procedure begins with a quick and easy blood draw. Then, using a proprietary technique, the growth factors are extracted from your blood and concentrated into the Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP). PRP is the injected into areas of the penis that are most important for the sexual response. These areas are numbed with a local anesthetic cream before injection, yielding little or no discomfort during the procedure.

What Does PRP Stand For?

PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma.

What Is PRP?

PRP is in the category of regenerative autologous treatments, which means it comes from your own blood and can stimulate cellular regeneration and tissue repair. Platelets are one of the cells in our blood and when activated, they can release growth factors and other proteins.

How Does the P-Shot® Work?

Platelet Rich Plasma contains many growth factors and healing factors. PRP has regenerative abilities and thus stimulates healing and rejuvenation. The resulting benefits typically include tissue growth that increases the growth of new blood vessels and improved circulation within the penis, stronger erections, increased sensation and pleasure and enhanced sexual performance. Some men report changes in girth and length of the penis. Many of these benefits are experienced immediately after receiving the injection. And, because the treatment uses the patient’s blood-derived plasma, it is non-allergenic and free of harmful side effects.

How Is PRP for the P-Shot® Acquired?

A small amount of your own blood is drawn in the office (like a regular lab study) at the time of the procedure. Your blood is then spun in a specially designed centrifuge which separates the platelets and plasma from the rest of the blood. The platelets are isolated and then injected back into the body wherever their benefits are needed. Along with numbing cream on the skin, a block is performed on the penis, so there is no pain.

How Long Does the P-Shot® Procedure Take to Perform?

The PRP injection is performed in our office. It should take about 30-45 minutes from start to finish.

What Can the P-Shot® DO For You?

  • Increases firmness of erection
  • Increases blood flow and circulation therefore able to achieve and maintain erections
  • Improved sexual capabilities
  • Increase sexual stamina
  • Increases sensation and pleasure
  • Enhanced appearance (Length +Girth)
  • Improves or resolves prostate discomfort
  • Improves or resolves urinary incontinence

Post P-Shot® Protocol

You will be using a Vacuum Erection Device, is essential for achieving optimal success from the procedure. This is usually done twice daily. It requires only 10 minutes at a certain 10 PSI.

How long after P-Shot® Procedure can I resume Sexual Activity?

Patients can resume sexual activity about 4 hours after procedure on the same day.

What Are the Potential Side Effects of the P-Shot®?

Since PRP is extracted from your own blood, there are few and only minor potential side effects. Patient may have some minimal bruising and irritation local to injection site.

How do we separate ourselves from the rest?

We Incorporate, AN FDA APPROVED, Non-Invasive procedure, known as Acoustic Wave Therapy (AWT, LIST, SHOCKWAVE THERAPY) to help promote blood flow and stimulate nerve endings to the penis helping sexual performance and enhancing erections.

What Is AWT, Low Intensity Shockwave Therapy (LIST)?

Our bodies have a remarkable capacity to heal themselves. Regeneration of new tissue is accomplished by the natural production of stem cells. AWT+ Low Intensity Shockwave Therapy (LiST) delivers pulse waves to the penis or vagina and stimulates activation of the body’s cellular repair mechanisms, similar to that with Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections. This results in the opening of existing blood vessels and growth of new ones as well. It additionally stimulates cellular tissue repair resulting in better improved, or even normalized, sexual function. AWT+ LiST was originally used to treat sports injuries and plantar fasciitis, but now has evolved to address issues of sexual wellness and dysfunction. AWT+ LiST is one of the most advanced, effective natural treatments for cellular repair AND rejuvenation throughout the body. Trademarked names for Shockwave Therapy include GainswaveTM, CorewaveTM, RejuvawaveTM and SwisswaveTM. All of these use the same type of AWT -pressure wave technology.

How Does Shockwave Therapy Work?

AWT+ Shockwave therapy (LiST) falls under the field of regenerative medicine, which deals with the process of replacing, engineering or regenerating human cells, tissues or organs to restore or establish normal function. It is a non-invasive treatment which stimulates tissue repair and cellular regeneration. AWT+ LiST results in recruitment of platelets and the subsequent release of growth factors & proteins which in turn activate stems cells and stimulate cellular repair and regeneration wherever they are applied in the body. In addition, collagen production and the formation of new blood vessels occurs and further aids in tissue repair.

P-Shot® + AWT (Shock Wave Therapy) Helps With?

  • Increased Strength and Firmness of your Erection
  • Increase blood flow to your penis
  • Increased sensation to your penis- helps with diabetics
  • Improved Function and Anatomy (length and girth) of your penis
  • Improved Self-Esteem

How Does AWT+ Shockwave Therapy (LiST) Differ from PRP?

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a therapy that involves the injection of a person’s own growth factors to stimulate tissue healing. Both PRP and AWT+ LiST work by similar means, but AWT+ LiST takes the process back one step and stimulates platelet activation as opposed to extracting platelets from one’s blood and injecting them directly where the cellular repair is needed.

How Long Does the List Take to Perform?

AWT+ LiST is an in-office procedure that usually takes under 30 minutes. There is no recovery period or major restrictions and all patients may resume their usual activities soon after on the same day.

Is There Anything Else That I Will Need to Do After the AWT+ LiST?

Though the treatment does not require any special after care, for men looking to achieve optimal results, we strongly encourage the use of a Vacuum Erection Device (VED) in the weeks following AWT+ LiST. This is usually done twice daily. It requires only a few minutes of your time and without it, success rates are usually lower. We will walk you through it the first time.

What Are the Potential Side Effects of the AWT + LiST?

Only minor potential side effects may occur. These include minor bleeding or bruising, swelling, and very rarely infection. You MUST notify your doctor if you are taking aspirin, Coumadin, Xarelto, Plavix or any other blood thinners as these must be held prior to treatment.
